Privacy Policy
For Enter — RPN Calculator on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Last updated 2 August 2026.
The short version. Enter collects nothing, sends nothing and stores nothing about you. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no networking code whatsoever — the app is not capable of transmitting your data, because it has no means of transmitting anything at all. Everything you calculate stays on your device.
Who is responsible
Enter is made by FM Software Development, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands. For anything in this policy, write to support@fmsoftware.dev.
Data the app collects
None. There is no account to create, no sign-in, no identifier assigned to you, and no usage or diagnostic data gathered. This is what is declared on the app's App Store product page under App Privacy, where the entry reads Data Not Collected.
Data the app stores on your device
So that the app is where you left it, a few things are saved locally using the operating system's standard preferences storage:
- Your ten numbered storage registers
- The paper tape — the running list of your entries, functions and results
- Your settings: angle mode, display format, number of decimals, thousands separators and haptic feedback
This information never leaves the device. It is not readable by me or by anyone else, it is not shared with any third party, and no copy of it exists anywhere outside your own hardware. The stack itself — X, Y, Z and T — is not saved at all and is empty each time the app starts.
You can erase all of it at any time: clear the tape from the tape screen, overwrite a register by storing a new value in it, or delete the app, which removes everything it has stored along with it.
If you use iCloud Backup, or back your device up to a computer, that backup includes the app's stored data along with everything else on the device. Those backups are made and encrypted by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, not by this app.
Network access
The app makes no network connections. It does not check for updates, does not phone home, and does not load remote content. It functions identically in aeroplane mode.
Third parties
The app bundles no third-party frameworks, no software development kits, no advertising libraries and no analytics services. Nothing in it belongs to anyone but its developer and Apple's own operating-system frameworks.
Tracking
The app does not track you, in the App Store's sense of the word or in any other. It does not access the advertising identifier, it does not link any data to your identity, and it will never present the App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing for it to ask about.
Your purchase
Enter is sold through the App Store, and Apple is the seller of record. When you buy it, Apple handles the payment and holds the transaction record; I never see your name, your email address or your payment details. Apple provides me with anonymous aggregate sales figures — units sold per country, and nothing that identifies any individual purchaser. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either. It contains no advertising, no in-app purchases and no links out to other content.
Your rights under the GDPR
European data protection law gives you the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data an organisation holds about you, and to object to its processing. Those rights are fully available to you here, but in practice there is nothing to exercise them against: no personal data about you is collected, processed or stored by me or by the app. Should you wish to confirm that, or ask anything else about it, write to support@fmsoftware.dev.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
If you write to me
Email you send to the support address is, unavoidably, email: I will have your address and whatever you chose to tell me, held on my mail provider's servers, and I use it only to answer you. It is never added to a mailing list, never sold and never shared. Support correspondence is deleted once the matter it concerns is closed and no longer useful for reference.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever gains a feature that changes any of the above — an iCloud sync option, for instance — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change with it. Any such feature would be opt-in, and the App Store privacy label would be updated to match. This policy will never be changed retroactively to cover data already collected under an earlier one.
